Description
Dōren ranks among the Four Beast Generals of the Dankai Clan, bearing the title "The Tiger." Hailing from the same village as his lifelong rival Jinun, he previously operated under the alias "Dōsuke." His physique is imposing and powerful, yet he moves with surprising speed. After surviving near-fatal wounds in an earlier conflict, he loses his right eye and resurfaces years later visibly aged and scarred.

He masters the Western-influenced "God of Brawling" style, emphasizing sheer physical force. Key techniques include "Discarding Wind" for rapid movement and "Senjin Fist," channeling spiritual energy to unleash multiple simultaneous strikes. Though his spiritual power falls below figures like Senya, Mudo, or Nadare, his combat expertise and relentless training command deep respect—even from adversaries like the "People of Nothing." Recognized as the Dankai Clan’s strongest warrior, he defeats elite modified fighters such as "The Ten Saints of Heaven."

Dōren initially confronts Jinka Yamato but falls to the "Five Element Soul" technique, vanishing temporarily. He later mentors Mudo, showcasing undiminished strength by knocking out the dragon-transformed youth with one punch. Driven by loyalty, he allies with Senya to rescue imprisoned comrades—including his drinking companion Shakugan. This mission culminates in a duel against his rival Jinun, now called Nadare, at Dankai headquarters. Dōren triumphs for the first time but sustains mortal injuries. Accepting his fate, he permits Yazen to transfer his spiritual core into Senya.

His essence endures through the darkness Jakki, sealed within this core alongside Nadare’s. Implanted into Senya, Dōren persists as a spiritual guide influencing Senya’s journey. He champions martial integrity, believing unarmed combat tests the spirit purely: "The fist is the ultimate and unremovable weapon that all warriors are born with." He relishes fierce battles, communal drinking, and maintains an open-minded, non-judgmental demeanor. Even in later years, he upholds rigorous training, embodying unwavering dedication to his craft.
