Description
Cassado Zeola Whiter is a primary antagonist, a Starker Knight, and the pilot of the Zeoladizer mecha. His personality displays pronounced sadistic tendencies, marked by a clear enjoyment of inflicting pain. He deliberately torments his personal maid, Naida, including throwing daggers near her to cause fear and suffering. He is manipulative and invasive, frequently provoking others through verbal taunts and violating personal boundaries. He possesses a volatile temper leading to frequent emotional outbursts and acts mercilessly in conflict, using innocent bystanders as shields without hesitation.
A deep-seated jealousy toward Duke Fleed, who consistently surpassed him in skill and recognition as a Starker Knight, fuels his motivations. This jealousy drove him to betray the Fleedian kingdom. Cassado murdered Duke Fleed's parents and framed Duke for the crime. This act triggered Duke's Superpowered Evil Side, causing Duke to inadvertently destroy Planet Fleed while piloting Grendizer in a berserk state. Cassado exploited this event to solidify Duke's framing for both the murder and the planet's destruction.
His antagonism continues against Duke Fleed and Earth. He steals control of the Grendizer mecha. His unstable emotional state and negative emotions while piloting cause Grendizer to manifest destructive red hand beams, a phenomenon previously only seen when Duke Fleed piloted it under intense rage or despair, suggesting the machine responds to pilots consumed by negative emotions regardless of identity. Cassado persistently seeks to harm Duke Fleed. When Duke offers forgiveness for his past actions, Cassado attempts to kill him again; Hikaru intervenes and kills Cassado to protect Duke.
His relationship with Naida Baron is defined by abuse and manipulation, subjecting her to physical torment and psychological intimidation. While Naida serves him, her role is complicated by external influences, including brainwashing by Gandal. Cassado meets his end when Hikaru kills him to stop his attempted attack on Duke Fleed after Duke extended forgiveness.
