Description
Itsuomi Nagi is a 22-year-old university senior majoring in cultural studies. Having spent his childhood in Germany before returning to Japan, he developed a deep passion for global travel and language acquisition, becoming multilingual in German, English, and Japanese. His frequent international trips are facilitated through his university's cultural club.

His first meeting with Yuki Itose occurs on a train, where he assists her in giving directions to a foreign tourist. This encounter sparks an immediate and intense curiosity about her world and methods of communication. He regards her deafness as a natural facet of her identity, distinct from viewing it as a limitation, and demonstrates genuine interest in understanding her perspective.

Driven by this desire to connect, Itsuomi proactively begins learning sign language. His approach involves patient observation and dedicated practice, frequently asking Yuki to teach him signs directly. This effort effectively bridges their communication gap and signifies his commitment to inclusion. He actively introduces Yuki to new experiences, sharing international cuisine and travel stories, thereby expanding her previously insular world.

Physically, Itsuomi possesses distinctive white hair and a sun-and-moon motif tattoo on his middle finger. While the tattoo's specific meaning remains officially unexplained, fan theories propose connections to his personal history or familial relationships. A notable moment shows him looking solemnly at a photo of two non-Japanese boys on his phone after being questioned about the tattoo, hinting at unresolved aspects of his past.

In relationships, he is straightforward and respectful. He clearly rejects advances from his longtime friend, Emma Nakazono, maintaining firm boundaries despite her persistent feelings. He exhibits protectiveness towards Yuki, particularly concerning her childhood friend Oushi Ashioki, whose condescending attitude towards Yuki's independence he disapproves of. He formally introduces Yuki as his girlfriend to his friends, demonstrating his serious commitment to their relationship.

His future aspiration is to become a teacher, aligning with his love for languages and cross-cultural exchange. His journey with Yuki deepens his understanding of communication beyond verbal language, emphasizing emotional connection and mutual growth.
