Izliz Swordflail (also spelled Easlies Swordfrail) is a formidable necromancer from another world. She served as the second-ranked imperial court sorcerer in the Byandy Empire and was the necromancy master of the Corpse God, whom she trained after buying him as a slave upon recognizing his latent magical power. Her appearance is defined by a bovine skull mask obscuring her face, long light-colored hair (often blonde or yellow), a pointed hat adorned with horns and a vertebrae chain, dark dancer-like garments, red robes, and gold chains. She exhibits a detached, stolid, and blunt personality, speaking straightforwardly and acting with the unwavering confidence of her station. Her core philosophy prioritizes possessions over people; she claims meticulous care for her belongings while displaying indifference towards individuals, a perspective that significantly shaped the Corpse God's own views on human souls. Despite this aloofness, she demonstrates fierce protectiveness when her possessions or disciples face threats, exemplified when she confronted and overpowered Shagrua Lugrid to avenge the Corpse God. Known by the epithets "Wandering Balcony" (or "Wandering Gallery") and "Demon of the Peninsula" – the latter derived from her feared residence on the abandoned Byadi Peninsula – her necromantic prowess ranks among the finest in her world. Her skills surpassed those of the Corpse God and arguably exceeded even the first-ranked imperial sorcerer, Arius Sabaramond; Izliz maintained Arius held the higher rank due to political aptitude, not superior magical ability. As a master necromancer, she transcended human aging and mortality, existing for an extended period. A notable flashback reveals an unidentified figure circumvented her curse on the Corpse God by binding his true name, outmaneuvering her. After departing the imperial court, she began traveling with Shagrua Lugrid, the very individual she had previously defeated. Her name appears with multiple spellings in official translations, including "Izliz," "Easlies," "Swordflail," and "Swordfrail."
