Maître des Corps, originally named Rizdilusia Redrazhalf, is a necromancer exiled from another world. Feared for his rare Evil Eye, he was sold to the Byandy Empire’s army by his family and apprenticed under Easlies Swordfrail, a master necromancer. Rising to become the empire’s fourth-ranked Imperial Court Sorcerer, he honed grim talents—erecting necromantic temples, merging consciousness with the dead, and bending souls to his will—earning wartime infamy as the "Corpse God."
Betrayed by his father’s soul-shattering curse, he was resurrected as an undead entity, his consciousness confined to a preserved brain within a skeletal, multi-limbed body adorned with bestial traits. After a fatal clash with a hero, he reincarnated on Earth as Polka Shinoyama, a teenage guise masking his ancient essence.
In modern Shinjuku, he pursues tranquility yet is ensnared in underworld strife. His demeanor wavers between detached calm and fierce guardianship over children, whom he regards as "precious toys" to cherish. Though emotionally guarded, cracks in his resolve emerge—such as reviving Misaki, a victim of his accidental wrath, as a devoted zombie ally. On Earth, his powers wane, limited to summoning skeletal servants, spirit communion, and restrained necromancy by the world’s faint magical aura.
Key trials include forging pacts with mediators like Clarissa, eluding Inspector Tsubaki Iwanome’s probes, and battling adversaries like the Agakura syndicate and transdimensional plots. His origins remain tied to his homeland’s shadow wars, including clashes with the Sabaramond dynasty and the Dragon King’s Palace Agency. Supplemental tales, such as *Phantom Solitaire’s Supernatural Impersonation*, explore his ties to figures like Tena Sorimura, though he orbits their narratives as a secondary force.
Over time, he tentatively embraces human norms, though his teenage vessel occasionally triggers regressions into petulant or playful behavior. Struggling to reconcile his rigid morals with the brutality his survival demands, he treads a thorny path toward redemption. Fragments of his past as Rizdilusia surface through alliances and rivalries, slowly unraveling a legacy steeped in tyranny and the faint hope of atonement.
