Karakasa, also called Karakasa no Tsukumogami, is a tsukumogami originating from an aged paper umbrella who appears exclusively in *Malevolent Spirits: Mononogatari*. She belongs to the Warazamawashi (Straw Bearers) tsukumogami group and relentlessly pursues the Nagatsuki family.

Her physical manifestation resembles a young woman with pale skin and vividly painted red lips. She has short dark pale pink hair featuring a braid on the right side and two long locks extending sideways. Her attire includes a form-fitting pink suit layered over a Victorian-style white shirt with detailed folds on the sleeves and collar, a red collar adorned with an artificial light pink flower, and pale purple boots with pink soles.

Her eyes display concentric circles alternating white and golden yellow. The anime adaptation modifies this: her pupils appear white against golden yellow sclera, encircled by a white-lined ring.

In combat, she wields umbrella-derived abilities. She generates dimensional barriers to trap targets in alternate realms, exerting complete environmental control and creating subordinate entities to execute her commands. These barriers remain vulnerable to breaches by forces like the divine weapon *Chibiki Iwa*. She morphs her umbrella into blade-like ribbons that extend sharp spines and adapt to combat shapes. Additionally, she travels through shadows cast by her umbrella.
