Description
Ban Klondike is the formidable boss of the Klondike Family, the most powerful mafia organization in the kingdom of Fourland. As the leader of this sprawling criminal empire, he commands thousands of members and wields significant influence that reaches into the government and law enforcement. He is feared as a ruthless and冷酷无情的 mafia don who will stop at nothing to collect the X-Playing Cards, yet he maintains a strict personal code, showing unexpected kindness and refusing to harm women or children.

Ban was not always a criminal mastermind. In his youth, he was a noble figure who fought crime alongside Theodore Constantine Pinochle as part of the first generation of High Card. However, his life changed forever when his father died, and the royal family covered up the incident, erasing his father from history and branding him an un-person. This betrayal marked the beginning of his descent into darkness, during which he suffered a severe injury to his eye that left him partially disfigured. Theodore tried to stop Ban from sacrificing himself to save his father, and this intervention is what ultimately caused Ban's turn toward a life of villainy, transforming the Klondikes from honest politicians into a criminal dynasty.

Ban's driving motivation is revenge against the Fourland royal family and High Card for destroying his father's legacy. To destabilize the kingdom and achieve his goals, he orchestrated the theft of the X-Playing Cards from the royal castle, scattering them across the country to incite chaos. He also personally murdered Finn Oldman's parents and manipulated Finn's brother, Tilt (later revealed as Flann Oldman), into believing he had committed the crime, forcing Tilt into the Klondike Family.

His role in the story is that of a major antagonist and a greater-scope villain, as many of the central conflicts stem directly from his schemes. He has a deep and complicated history with Theodore Constantine Pinochle, as the two were once close friends and allies but are now bitter enemies. His relationship with his subordinate Tilt is defined by Tilt's exceptional loyalty, as Tilt pushes himself to the limit to fulfill Ban's expectations, always acting for the sake of the family.

Ban is a player who wields the King of Diamonds X-Playing Card, known as Round and Round. This card grants him the power to induce rotational motion in any object or person he touches or targets. He uses this versatile ability strategically in combat to spin projectiles, destabilize opponents, manipulate the environment, redirect attacks, and even create rotational barriers, making him a formidable fighter who controls engagements through indirect means.

Throughout the series, Ban demonstrates complex hypocrisies, often decrying societal inequality while perpetuating violence and claiming moral high ground for his greater good objectives despite causing widespread suffering. In his final act, he confronts Theodore and uses an X-Hand, a forbidden multi-card technique, to reverse time and save Theodore's life. This redemptive act costs Ban his own life, and he dies with a smile on his face, achieving a form of twisted atonement.
