Description
Will Serfort, orphaned and raised alongside Elfaria Albis Serfort at the Serfort Orphanage under caretaker Ashley Serfort, shared the Serfort surname as part of their found family. At age five, he and Elfaria pledged to reach the summit of Mercedes Caulis tower together to witness the sunset, a promise fueling his lifelong drive. Receiving recommendation letters to Regarden Magical Academy at ten, Will attended despite lacking conventional magical aptitude.

Throughout his academy years, Will endured persistent bullying from students like Sion Ulster and professors like Edward Serfence due to his inability to cast spells. He countered this by dominating written exams and earning credits through perilous dungeon exploration. There, he leveraged superhuman physical prowess—exceptional strength, speed, agility, and analytical combat skills enabling him to anticipate enemy movements after a single observation—honed through relentless training. His extensive knowledge of dungeon ecology and survival tactics proved vital. Though socially isolated, he forged key bonds: a close friendship with classmate Colette Loire, a supportive dynamic with roommate Rosti Naumann (who crafted his specialized dungeon gear and magic tools), and mentorship from Professor Workner Norgram and Headmistress Caldron Anouve.

His primary equipment featured the anti-magic Moria's Silver Sword (later destroyed) and goggles gifted by Elfaria, symbolizing their promise. Following the sword's destruction, he acquired the Wist-Set Silver Sword, forged by the dwarf Donnan and embedded with a wist gem to significantly enhance magic absorption and spell-cutting. Rosti supplied his distinctive battlegarb: a striped shirt, gloves, belts, and a shortened robe.

A pivotal discovery revealed Will's unique magic-related ability, Wis. This power allowed him to absorb incoming spells, infuse them into his sword, and unleash elemental effects like flaming strikes (Ignis Wis) for fifty minutes. Subsequent training unlocked Prime Pathos, enabling him to channel raw emotions and memories directly into his blade without external spells, albeit at greater magical cost. His ultimate ability, Limit Off, temporarily turned his hair and body white while drastically amplifying all physical and combat parameters, allowing him to defeat formidable threats like the Devande, a monster known for killing Magia Vanders.

Will's character evolved as he overcame resentment towards his bullies, exemplified when he saved Sion from a dungeon monster despite initial reluctance. His determination stemmed from a desire to prove himself worthy of Elfaria, whom he considered his first and only love. After graduation, he joined the Thunder Faction (Thorzeus Fasce), while peers like Colette joined Earth, Sion joined Fire, and Lihanna Owenzaus joined Thunder. His journey included deep respect for dwarves, whose resilience despite societal discrimination for lacking magic inspired him; he worked in their establishments and learned from them about the Celestial Hosts, skyborne invaders who destroyed the dwarven homeland.

Personality-wise, Will exhibited relentless determination, underlying kindness, and emotional resilience. He rarely retaliated against bullies but defended friends fiercely. Initial self-doubt transformed into confidence as he mastered Wis and earned recognition. He remained largely oblivious to romantic attention from Colette and Rosti due to his singular devotion to Elfaria. His unwavering commitment to reaching Elfaria atop the tower drove him to defy the magic-dominated society's expectations through a unique fusion of swordsmanship and unconventional magic.
