Mayumi Imoto is one of the five main characters in the anime film adaptation of "Ganbatte Ikimasshoi". She attends Mitsu Higashi High School in Matsuyama City, Ehime Prefecture. Following the revival of the women's rowing club, Mayumi joins alongside classmates Etsuko Murakami, Hime Saeki, Riina Takahashi, and Taeko Hyodo. Participating in the team's first official competition, Mayumi experiences their boat's struggle to go straight, resulting in a last-place finish. This shared outcome fuels the group's collective determination to improve.
