Mrs. Hidoro, formally Hidoro no Okami, served as the true leader of the Hidoro crime family in Barato. She was the wife of Tamotsu Hidoro and mother of Shinpei Hidoro.

Discovering her husband Tamotsu was infertile, Mrs. Hidoro rejected societal blame for childlessness. She took a fisherman as a lover, resulting in Shinpei's birth. She maintained the pretense Shinpei was Tamotsu's heir, manipulating both to consolidate her clan control. During a gang war against former subordinate Umakichi Kusuda, she directed Hidoro operations from the shadows. Her primary goal became obtaining a valuable tattooed skin from an escaped Abashiri prisoner, part of a coded map to hidden fortune.

When Shinpei impregnated his father's mistress, Chiyoko, Mrs. Hidoro faced crisis. Umakichi's faction kidnapped Chiyoko, demanding the tattooed skin as ransom. Despite Shinpei's pleas emphasizing their unborn grandchild's life, Mrs. Hidoro refused to relinquish the skin, prioritizing its potential wealth over family.

This refusal triggered violent confrontation in Barato. Amidst chaos, Shinpei confronted his mother at the burning Hidoro herring lodge, expressing his desire to abandon crime and pleading she discard the skin. She refused again, revealing to Tamotsu—who had followed—that Shinpei was not his biological son and Chiyoko's child was Shinpei's. Enraged by this betrayal and years of deception, Tamotsu attacked her, bludgeoning her to death with a rake. Her body and the tattooed skin were consumed in the lodge fire.
