Description
Mithra, a powerful wizard residing in the Northern Country, holds the rank of the world's second strongest wizard. His distinctive features include striking red hair, emerald green eyes, and stitch marks of unclear origin on his neck and body. He typically wears a doctor-like coat, a striped shirt, and a purple earring, with his wizard crest located on his lower hip.

Born in the harsh Northern climate, Mithra worked as a ferryman from a young age, transporting human corpses to an island in the Lake of Death without family support. Villagers taught him language and customs, unaware he was a wizard—a fact he also did not know initially. His longevity became apparent when he realized he had existed across three generations of villagers.

His life changed upon meeting Tiletta, a powerful Northern witch who later became the mother of Rutile and Mitile. Attracted to his youthful appearance, she raised him intending marriage but abandoned those plans due to personality clashes. Tiletta identified Mithra as a wizard and mentored him in magic. He rejects labeling their complex relationship as motherly, educational, or romantic, frequently recalling her unconventional behavior like eating raw snakes, though without malice.

After Tiletta retired to the Southern Country, married a human, and adopted a domestic life, Mithra maintained contact but disapproved. Sensing her impending death during childbirth, Tiletta extracted a promise from Mithra to protect her future sons, offering her coveted crystal skull—a powerful magic tool—as compensation. He reluctantly agreed, later considering imprisoning Rutile and Mitile inside an iceberg to fulfill the vow mechanically before being dissuaded. He expresses regret over the promise, seeing Tiletta's traits strongly in Rutile.

Mithra speaks with unexpected politeness learned from Northern villagers, contrasting his volatile and violence-prone nature. He reacts to minor inconveniences with lethal intent, often requiring intervention by stronger wizards like Oz. Chronic insomnia from an unexplained injury causes constant drowsiness and disinterest in social norms, geography, or currency. His instincts override intellect, making him predictable to manipulate for skilled opponents.

His primary ambition is defeating Oz to become the world's strongest wizard, though he consistently loses their battles. He engages in combat with other prominent wizards like Bradley and Owen, contributing to his feared reputation. He disregards widespread rumors about his power. Despite his generally detached demeanor, he exhibits unexpected traits like proficient dancing and consuming unconventional foods such as charcoal and seashells, which he mistakes for cookies.

Mithra's interactions with Rutile are notably contentious; Rutile openly challenges him and physically confronts him for criticizing Tiletta's past. This defiance reminds Mithra of Tiletta, underscoring his unresolved connection to her legacy through her sons.
