Movie
Description
Shiho Hinomori anchors Leo/need as its bassist, inspired to dedicate herself to the instrument after an impactful encounter with Sumire. Her childhood revolved around stargazing and music with close friends Ichika Hoshino, Saki Tenma, and Honami Mochizuki. Saki’s hospitalization strained Shiho’s ties to Ichika and Honami during middle school. Isolated in a new class, Shiho rebuffed peers’ overtures, sparking rumors. To shield her friends from fallout, she deliberately distanced herself. Reconciliation followed Saki’s return and their shared journey to the School SEKAI, culminating in Leo/need’s formation—named for the meteor shower from their youth.

Shiho’s middle school light music club tenure ended abruptly when clashes over commitment led to an argument, disbanding the group and worsening her reputation. Her family includes a koto-teaching mother and a father who once played guitar in a notable band. Academically, Shiho’s first year placed her in Class 1-A alongside Minori Hanasato and Kohane Azusawa. By second year, she joined Class 2-B with Saki and Emu Otori, serving on the Animal Care committee with Minori.

With sharp green eyes and scruffy gray hair, Shiho often wears a poker face. Her voice carries a tomboyish edge. Her first-year casual outfit paired an oversized dark green hoodie (bearing gold-yellow text: "Everything Started from here. 487") with white socks and black-and-white sneakers. Second year saw her in a blue-grey denim jacket over a white "14"-marked hoodie, dark brown shorts, and black sneakers. Band uniforms evolved from a white blouse with a cropped green jersey and striped tie-bow to a school-inspired design featuring a green lapel, leather bracelets, and grey boots.

Introverted and reserved, Shiho immerses herself in hobbies, dismissing others’ opinions. Beneath her aloof exterior, she helps readily and speaks bluntly—traits rooted in fearing her impact on others. She cherishes childhood friends and bandmates but enforces "tough love" during practice, rarely praising and leading through experience. Her professional goal is a music career.

Key relationships shape her:
- **Leo/need members**: Shiho initially avoided Ichika to protect her from rumors but treasures her honesty. Though Saki’s carefree nature sometimes irritates her, she worries for Saki’s health and acknowledges her musical growth. She extends similar tough guidance to Honami.
- **Hinomori Shizuku**: Annoyed by her older sister’s clinginess and airheadedness, Shiho nonetheless cares deeply, valuing Shizuku’s support. A childhood moon-viewing memory—where Shizuku comforted her over their parents’ lateness while making dango—taught Shiho emotional openness.
- **Minori Hanasato**: First-year classmates and second-year committee partners, they occasionally meet outside school. Shiho respects Minori’s sociability and tireless effort.
- **Kohane Azusawa**: Former classmates bonded through music, overcoming Kohane’s initial intimidation.
- **Haruka Kiritani**: Friendship blossomed during shared events like chocolate-making and Haruka’s birthday at a penguin café.
- **Others**: She maintains ties with figures like Airi Momoi (grateful for her backing of Shizuku), An Shiraishi (connecting over music dreams), and Akito Shinonome (noting his fear during an event).

In *Colorful Stage! The Movie: A Miku Who Can't Sing*, Shiho joins Leo/need’s collaborative mission to aid a mysterious Miku whose song falters against despair. The bands unite to craft new music, reigniting hope to preserve Miku’s fading SEKAI.
