Description
Hiroshi Suzuishi, nicknamed "Shorty" or "Chibi," is the 12-year-old youngest member of the GoLion team. He graduated early from Tokyo’s Fuji Space School alongside teammates Akira Kogane, Isamu Kurogane, Takashi Shirogane, and Tsuyoshi Seidou. His surname "Suzuishi" references cassiterite (tin ore), fitting the Earth pilots’ metallic naming theme, while "Hiroshi" means "generous" or "prosperous."

Returning to Earth from deep space in 1999, Hiroshi found Tokyo devastated by thermonuclear war. Captured and enslaved by the Galra Empire, he fought a Deathblack Beastman alongside his teammates, surviving with scars and branded arms. Observing vultures scavenging remains from the Beastman’s consumption of slave stew prompted Takashi’s escape plan. Hiroshi’s extraordinary vertical leap—attributed to his claimed ninja heritage—proved vital during their breakout and theft of a Galra slave ship.

Crash-landing on Altea, Hiroshi scouted the terrain while others located the Lion robots. After recovering the fifth key, Akira assigned him as Green Lion pilot, donning a green uniform. Hiroshi’s scientific expertise and agility suited the role; his intellect aided tactical analysis, while his small stature enabled stealth and acrobatic combat.

Key episodes highlighted Hiroshi’s character. An unauthorized Earth return mission trapped him in a Galra ambush, where witnessing Earth’s destruction caused lasting trauma. "Giant Beastman’s Lullaby" revealed his parents likely perished in Earth’s nuclear cataclysm. Hiroshi bonded closely with children on missions, reflecting his youth and empathy. He shared a unique rapport with Princess Fala’s space mice, Platt and Chuchule, and clashed with her caregiver Hys, mockingly dubbing her "Hys-teria."

Hiroshi faced profound vulnerability. A female Galra Beastwoman embraced him as her surrogate child; her death shielding him from Honerva galvanized his resolve against the Empire. When Fala was falsely declared dead, his grief drove him to attempt a grenade suicide attack against Sincline and Honerva. He fought in the final battle against the Galra, later relaxing in an Altean meadow with teammates and Fala.

His legacy includes being the only pilot besides Tsuyoshi Seidou whose civilian attire matched his Lion’s color scheme, cementing his association with the Green Lion.
