King Raimon ruled Planet Altea until the Galra Empire invaded fifteen years before the main events. During the assault, he defiantly refused to submit to Emperor Daibazaal and was executed by Commander Sadak, along with his wife and elder children. Before his death, he commanded his royal adviser, Raible, to protect his infant daughter, Princess Fala, securing her escape from the Galra. This ensured Fala remained the sole surviving heir to Altea's throne.

After his execution, Raimon's body was laid to rest in a royal tomb beneath Castle Gradam on Altea. This tomb also safeguarded the keys necessary to awaken and pilot the five mechanical lions forming GoLion. Though deceased, Raimon periodically manifests as a spectral figure, offering crucial counsel and guidance to Fala and the GoLion team during pivotal moments. These manifestations occur when Altea faces existential peril or Fala requires wisdom for leadership challenges or piloting duties.

His ghostly interventions deliver strategic battle advice against the Galra Empire, warnings of imminent threats, and encouragement to uphold justice. One significant instance involved aiding the team when GoLion was immobilized by a hyper-gravity planetoid engineered by Galra forces. Raimon's ethereal presence connects Fala to Altea's past and embodies the legacy of resistance against oppression. His guidance steadfastly focuses on protecting Altea, fostering Fala's growth as a leader, and ensuring the pilots' unity in operating GoLion against the Galra Empire.
