Description
Raible, military strategist of Planet Altea under King Raimon’s rule, was born between the late 1940s and early 1950s. Charged with safeguarding Princess Fala during the Galran invasion of 1984, he commanded his wife and infant son, Roland, to evacuate the royal castle, though both perished in the attack. Devastated yet resolute, Raible dedicated the next fifteen years to raising Fala in secrecy, embracing a paternal role while grappling with personal loss.
When Earth astronauts landed on Altea, Raible recruited them as pilots for the Golion team, harnessing their skills to strike against the Galra Empire. Initially opposing Fala’s role as Blue Lion pilot following Takashi Shirogane’s death, he reluctantly acknowledged her necessity to the team’s mission, tempering his protectiveness with pragmatism.
His resolve faced its greatest test when Galran operative Saint impersonated Raible’s presumed-surviving son. Blinded by hope, Raible trusted Saint until the operative’s assassination attempt exposed the deception. During the confrontation, Hys—Fala’s caregiver and Raible’s steadfast ally—intervened at the cost of her life. Forced to confront the truth of his son’s infant death, Raible eliminated Saint, severing the Galra’s psychological warfare.
Leading Altea’s forces in the climactic offensive against the Galra Empire, Raible’s strategic brilliance proved instrumental in dismantling their regime, cementing his oath to avenge his planet. His dynamic with Fala matured from guarded protector to strategic partner, as he navigated the tension between shielding her and honoring her agency.
Persistent guilt over his family’s demise and Hys’s sacrifice underscored his evolution, forging a leadership style that balanced unflinching duty with empathy. These dual burdens shaped his mentorship of both Fala and the Golion team, framing his legacy as a strategist who wielded loss as both weapon and shield.
