Description
Erika Myōjō began as Hikari Myodo, the younger sister of Akina Myodo, from an alternate future timeline. A timeline divergence nearly erased her existence, forcing a merger with the entity Gabwelius to survive. This fusion led to her new identity and name, Erika Myojo; the surname "Myojo" combines the kanji for "clear" and "guidance," while "Erika" derives from "Gabwelius" and "Hikari."
Her past involved chronic illness, frequent hospitalization, and dependence on Akina. After Akina died following a loss in her timeline's "Fated Clash," overwhelming guilt and depression consumed her. Driven by desperation to prevent his death, she sought the "Fated One of Time" card, Liael゠Amorta, to alter fate. She entered the current timeline, concealing her identity with a face mask, and attempted to sabotage the Fated Clash by preventing Akina and Suo Yobitsugi's participation. She later sought help from Taizo Kiyokura and Masanori Iseki, though her plans ultimately failed.
Physically, she possesses shoulder-length hair, predominantly dark blue with a distinctive frontal streak: red at the bottom fading to white at the top.
Her personality transformed significantly. Initially cheerful despite her illness, Akina's death made her singularly obsessed with saving him, marked by desperation and guilt. Her actions included distributing posters about Akina's disappearance and pleading with strangers for aid. A pivotal fight with Akina forced her to confront his perspective, sparking gradual emotional reconciliation. She also reassessed her view of Suo Yobitsugi, recognizing his struggles. During the Destined Showdown, confronting her younger self, she adopted a sisterly role to dissuade her from selfish assumptions about Akina and encouraged open communication with him.
Following the Destined Showdown, her existence separated from the current timeline's Hikari. To remain in the world, she fully merged with Gabwelius, solidifying her identity as Erika Myojo. She became a trainee researcher for the professional Vanguard team "Kiyokura ANCHOR BOLT."
During the Fated Clash, Gabwelius granted her temporary immortality to protect participants, nullifying her initial plan to kill Suo and stop the event.
She participates in the DELUXE tournament, a competition to determine the strongest Vanguard fighter, as one of the eight finalists alongside Akina Myodo, Kagetsu Yakumo, Suo Yobitsugi, Megumi Okura, Mirei Minae, Michiru Hazama, and Ruka Miyako. Her insert song is "sreneugid."
