Description
Tōru is a female dragon originating from another dimension called the dragon realm, where she was part of the Chaos Faction. Raised to view humans as inferior and destructive, she initially harbored hatred towards them. Centuries later, a battle left her grievously wounded by a god commanding human forces, forcing her retreat to the modern human world. There, the intoxicated human Kobayashi discovered her and removed a divine sword embedded in her back, saving Tōru's life. This act ignited Tōru's immediate and profound devotion to Kobayashi. Accepting Kobayashi's drunken offer, Tōru transformed her scales into a maid outfit and moved in to serve as her maid.

In her true form, Tōru is a massive green European-style dragon exceeding 15–20 meters in height, towering over multi-story buildings. She possesses black wings and a light green underbelly. Her human guise appears as a buxom young woman standing 176 cm tall, with long blonde hair featuring orange, pink, or purple tips and red-orange eyes. She openly displays her horns, often mistaken for cosplay elements, while typically concealing her wings and tail in public. Her tail possesses natural venom, which she can detoxify; she regenerates it after occasionally cutting it off in attempts to feed it to Kobayashi as an affectionate gesture.

Originally defined by destructive Chaos Dragon instincts, Tōru's personality transformed dramatically after meeting Kobayashi. She became cheerful, kind, and deeply protective of her human world life. Her primary motivation is romantic love for Kobayashi, whom she serves diligently as an enthusiastic maid, though her unconventional dragon instincts sometimes cause mishaps—obsessing over Kobayashi's laundry or misinterpreting human customs learned from television. Highly influenced by media and internet culture, Tōru exhibits fierce jealousy towards perceived romantic rivals but gradually learns human social norms under Kobayashi's guidance. Her loyalty extends to other dragons she shelters, notably Kanna, whom she treats as a younger sister and maternal figure.

Her dragon nature grants immense physical strength, durability, speed, regeneration, immunity to illness, and unlimited stamina. She breathes fire capable of dispersing clouds and unleashing destructive beams. A rare skill allows her to effortlessly open interdimensional portals. Additional powers include clairvoyance for seeing through objects, perception-blocking for invisibility, flight via wings or magic, and cleansing saliva that removes stains. Her combat prowess is formidable; she claims capability to cause Armageddon, and battles with dragons of equal strength, like Elma, have destroyed islands.

Tōru's relationship with her father, Damocles, leader of the Chaos Faction, is strained by her rejection of his anti-human ideology; he attempts to forcibly return her to the dragon realm, leading to violent confrontations. She shares a complex bond with Elma of the rival Order Faction. Once friends, their relationship soured when Tōru destroyed a temple dedicated to Elma over philosophical differences, though underlying mutual affection persists. Tōru maintains ties with Lucoa, a former deity and old friend who checks on her across dimensions.

In the film "A Lonely Dragon Wants to Be Loved," Tōru becomes involved when Kanna's father, Kamui Kamui, arrives to retrieve Kanna, sparking conflict between the Chaos and Harmony dragon factions. Tōru supports Kobayashi's efforts to protect Kanna and mend the rift between Kanna and Kamui. During this war, she confronts threats to her found family and aids in uncovering a hidden force manipulating the conflict. Throughout the series, her romantic feelings for Kobayashi evolve from unrequited advances to mutual acknowledgment, culminating in a confirmed relationship.
