Description
Saeko Sonozaki, eldest heir of the Sonozaki Family, grew entrenched in their doctrine of inherent superiority, nurturing bitter resentment toward her father and seething envy of her younger sister Wakana. Driven by this upbringing, she ascended within the Museum organization—a syndicate distributing Gaia Memories, devices granting monstrous powers—orchestrating schemes to cement herself as the ideal successor. Her ruthless tactics included eliminating dissenters like her husband Kirihiko Sudo and allying with Shinkuro Isaka in a failed coup against her father.
Her primary form, the Taboo Dopant, channeled the Taboo Memory through a Gaia Driver, enabling flight and explosive light-bomb generation. After losing the Memory to the Smilodon Dopant and surviving assassination, she allied with Foundation X’s Jun Kazu, embedding a Living Connector to wield the Nasca Memory without a Driver. This evolved her into the R Nasca Dopant, boasting heightened speed and strength, until Wakana’s ClayDoll Xtreme form shattered the Memory.
Briefly assuming Museum leadership post her father’s death, she found no purpose until discovering Wakana’s survival. Confronting Kazu, now the Utopia Dopant, she reclaimed the Taboo Memory and sacrificed herself to shield Wakana—a redemptive irony after years of rivalry. Her death reconciled the sisters, later echoed in a spiritual farewell to Philip.
Prequel media, including a film adapting the *Begins Night* arc, depicted her pivotal role as the Taboo Dopant opposing Sokichi Narumi (Kamen Rider Skull), influencing events that birthed Kamen Rider Double. Modified Gaia Driver enhancements showcased her strategic ruthlessness, neutralizing rival Dopant abilities.
Her arc wove envy, ambition, and redemption, shifting from antagonism to self-sacrifice. Complex alliances—genuine attachment to Isaka, transactional ties with Foundation X—and her relentless use of multiple Gaia Memories underscored her desperate quest for power, intertwining personal vendettas with the wider conflict over the Memories’ destructive legacy.
