Description
Suo Yobitsugi is Akina Myodo's schoolmate and one of six individuals chosen by a Fated One card for the Fated Clash, wielding the Fated One of Zero card. His appearance features red, tired eyes and grey hair styled with a widow's peak, framed by long strands. He typically wears a grey jacket with yellow lining and black stripes on the cuffs and hem, a white t-shirt, grey pants, and black sneakers.

Suo witnessed and survived the train accident that claimed both parents during his childhood. This trauma caused him to shut off his emotions and develop protective amnesia, leaving only fragmented memories of the event. He lives with his uncle, Jiro Yobitsugi. Personality-wise, Suo displays minimal interest in people or activities but demonstrates exceptional talent as a recognized genius player in Vanguard.

In battle, Suo utilizes a Dark States deck focused on Fated One of Zero, Blangdmire. His strategy involves binding cards from his soul face down to amplify Blangdmire's power, bind opponent's rearguards, and activate Blangdmire's Divine Skill. This skill nullifies the opponent's vanguard abilities and prevents sentinel use during the attack phase when eight or more cards are bound face down. Key units include Steam Raider, Zamuug and rear-guards like Elaborate Wizard and Single Strike Shatter Colossus, which bind themselves after attacking to counter opponents and power up Blangdmire Nexus or Veidrock Dragon. His trigger units include critical, draw, front, heal, and over triggers.

Suo's competitive record includes wins against Masanori Iseki (episode 9), Megumi Okura (off-screen) during the Divinez arc, and Suzune Rokuoin in the DELUXE arc. Losses occurred against Akina Myodo (episode 12–13), Kuon Aikawa (episode 15), and Senka Kanae (off-screen). His connection to the other Fated Ones stems from a shared childhood summer camp hosted by the Kiyokura Group, where Taizo served as a counselor and Masanori was present nearby.

Character development reveals Suo finding purpose through Vanguard, filling an emotional void from his past. Following the Fated Clash, his bond with his avatar deepens; Blangdmire communicates with him directly and gifts "Nexus" as a symbol of Suo's evolving self-awareness. He continues participating in Vanguard events like the Destined Showdown.
