Description
Sybilt originated as an ancient spiritual entity from Planet Cray, without a permanent physical form, capable of possessing living hosts. Originally a dragon, it abandoned its physical body after enduring significant loss, becoming a consciousness able to inhabit multiple beings simultaneously. The entity harbors deep-seated antagonism toward Gabwelius, stemming from Sybilt's corruption of Gabwelius's entire tribe through mental deterioration, leaving Gabwelius the sole survivor. Forced to retreat to Earth after their conflict on Cray, Sybilt awaited an opportunity for retaliation.
A decade prior to the main events, Sybilt lured a young Hikari Myodo into ruins containing a card that served as its power conduit. Sybilt possessed Hikari, remaining dormant within her for ten years, feeding on her life force and causing a chronic illness while blocking her memories of the possession. The entity resurfaced when Gabwelius initiated the Fated Clash, exploiting the weakened bond between Earth and Cray. Sybilt intercepted Gabwelius's summoning methods, creating six Destined One cards and recruiting human bearers whose desires aligned with them, positioning these bearers against those holding Gabwelius's Fated One cards.
To interact with humans, Sybilt initially used a dragon plushie as an avatar. It later orchestrated the Destined Showdown tournament to gather "Design Force" energy from both factions, serving as the judge while manipulating outcomes to amass power. After accumulating sufficient energy, Sybilt abandoned the plushie form and forcibly possessed Nao Inabe, overwriting her consciousness. During this possession, Sybilt altered Nao's physical appearance, dressing her in a cropped black top with red accents, detached sleeves adorned with tassels, sleek black pants, and high heels, reflecting its influence.
Sybilt's motivations center on a nihilistic philosophy, asserting all human actions stem from selfish desires and dismissing altruism as hypocrisy. It openly criticized Akina Myodo's selflessness, claiming his efforts to save others masked a deeper selfish need. In its final battle against Akina, Sybilt transformed Nao's Fated One card into "Unparalleled Drekasleif, Varga Dragres 'Rakshasa'" to gain an advantage. Akina defeated Sybilt using the combined power of "Fated King of Miracles, Rezael Vita" and Gabwelius's energy, expelling the entity from Nao's body.
In its final moments, Sybilt confronted Gabwelius in a debate about the nature of desire. Gabwelius argued that desires could encompass caring for others, not just oneself. This exchange prompted Sybilt to recall its former ally, Sperod, moments before Gabwelius permanently sealed it away.
