Description
Myaku-Myaku, a mysterious entity originating 3.5 billion years ago from fused cells and water, emerged from a small spring in Japan’s Kansai region. Its body combines red sections of dividing cells and blue portions of shape-shifting pure water, enabling constant transformation—though frequent shifts occasionally obscure its original form. Typically, it adopts a bipedal humanoid shape: a blue torso and limbs, crowned by a red globular ring head featuring rotating eyeballs and a smiling mouth.
Sunlight fuels its energy, while rainy days invigorate it as it absorbs rainwater directly. It uniquely locates rainbows after storms. Friendly yet goofy, it often stumbles into clumsy errors. Driven by curiosity about connections between beings and objects, it seeks dialogue on existence, time, and future possibilities.
Arriving in an unspecified town, Myaku-Myaku unexpectedly cohabitates with a disengaged middle-aged man. Their shared daily life sparks subtle change: the man gradually awakens to interests in environmental sustainability, harmonious coexistence with other lifeforms, and global food waste challenges. Through these interactions, Myaku-Myaku catalyzes expanded human perspectives on interconnected ecological and societal issues.
