Description
Sara is the daughter of the President of South Island on Planet Freedom, residing in the Land of the Sky. She possesses feline traits, including a brown prehensile tail matching her long hair and a hat shaped like cat ears. Her attire features a yellow crop top with deep pink ruffles, a matching miniskirt, a pink cropped jacket, green earrings, a black choker, and pink boots. Dr. Robotnik later forces her into a strapless white wedding minidress with yellow-furred trim and a large bow as part of his plan to marry her.
Robotnik takes Sara and her father hostage, using them to lure Sonic into a trap involving the shutdown of the sabotaged Robot Generator in Robotropolis. During captivity, she displays a short temper and immaturity, throwing fits after losing video games to Robotnik and demanding activities like drives. Initially appearing self-centered, she tells Sonic she cares only for him and herself, not her father or Robotnik, yet later reveals genuine concern for her father's safety during peril. She harbors strong affection for Sonic, frequently calling him "my Sonic" and physically intervening to protect him, such as attacking Metal Sonic for endangering him. She also manipulates situations using flirtation, kissing Knuckles on the cheek to persuade him to rescue her father or assist in critical missions, causing him visible embarrassment.
After Robotnik's initial scheme fails, he transports Sara to the North Pole, revealing his plan to destroy the world and repopulate it with her. Sara vehemently rejects this, attacking Robotnik with scratching motions and physical blows, including striking him with a pipe. During the final battle between Sonic and Hyper Metal Sonic, she falls from Robotnik's aircraft but is saved by Knuckles. She remains with Knuckles and Tails afterward, observing the conflict and continuing to aid where possible, such as attempting to dismantle Metal Sonic's grip on Sonic. Sara exhibits unexpected physical durability, surviving high-impact events like Sonic's Spin Dash while inside Metal Robotnik and the mech's subsequent collapse. She demonstrates strength surpassing Robotnik's, overpowering him multiple times and coercing him into revealing plans or carrying out tasks under threat.
In the Archie Comics series, Sara appears identified as a princess rather than the President's daughter.
