Description
Nono begins her journey as a rural Martian girl dreaming of becoming a space pilot, inspired by "Nonoriri"—a distorted memory of Noriko Takaya, a legendary pilot from humanity’s wars against cosmic threats. Clumsy and untrained, her fate shifts when an unexpected encounter with Lal'C Mellk Mal, a revered "Topless" pilot, thrusts her into an elite defense force safeguarding the solar system with colossal mecha known as Buster Machines.

Her past unfolds to reveal her existence as an android engineered with latent abilities entwined with Buster Machine No. 7, a dormant weapon forged to annihilate existential dangers. These powers surface during pivotal clashes with space monsters, exposing her potential to ascend into a deity-like form commanding gravitational forces and cataclysmic energy. As fragmented memories resurface, she grapples with her artificial origins while piecing together her forgotten purpose: to ensure humanity’s survival.

Her fervent admiration for Lal'C, whom she calls "onee-sama," fuels her relentless drive to earn validation. Their bond matures into a pivotal alliance during a climactic battle against a black hole-wielding space entity. Here, Nono awakens her full potential, channeling her core generator to hurl the singularity from Earth—a sacrifice memorialized by an origami crane echoing Noriko’s legacy.

A decade later, her legacy endures through Lal'C’s remembrance and a fateful meeting with the original Gunbuster pilots, Noriko and Kazumi, intertwining their eras. Her story weaves themes of self-discovery, legacy, and the confluence of human ambition with artificial creation.
