Description
Bruce Brown, alias Mason Brown in the English adaptation, is a Gundalian Subterra brawler originally serving the Gundalian Agents under Ren Krawler. His mission involved infiltrating Bakugan Interspace for Emperor Barodius and the Twelve Orders, though his true loyalty lay with Gundalian Elder Nurzak. He fights alongside his Guardian Bakugan, Subterra Avior, equipped with the Battle Gear Lashor.

Mason frequently shows off during brawls, maintaining battlefield calm that starkly contrasts with his panicked reactions and tendency to blame Avior outside combat. He habitually calls Avior "old timer" or "old dog." Their partnership is contentious, filled with constant arguments; Avior sees Mason as a smart aleck, while Mason finds Avior overly critical. Despite this friction, he exhibits camaraderie with teammates Ren Krawler and Jesse Glenn.

His early actions included defeating an unnamed Ventus brawler and battling Jake Vallory. He initially defeated Jake while mocking him but lost a rematch after Jake received strategic help. Later, Mason and Lena Isis tested their strength against top-ranked players using non-Guardian Bakugan, resulting in defeat. Following this, he and other agents were hypnotized by Kazarina to boost recruitment for Gundalia. He participated in further battles, including a tag brawl loss against Dan Kuso and Shun Kazami alongside the brainwashed Taylor.

After repeated failures, Mason escaped Kazarina's ship to avoid punishment from the Twelve Orders while others faced consequences. He then sought refuge in Neathia, signaling a shift in allegiance. During the Sacred Orb's destabilization, a ground collapse nearly claimed him until Avior intervened. Both were displaced between dimensions by the Orb's energy surge. Rescued alongside Nurzak after the Dragonoid Colossus defeat, he rejoined the Battle Brawlers in Neathia, resuming his human disguise.

Actively supporting the resistance against Gundalia, Mason provided intelligence on Jake's location within Kazarina's lab. He joined Ren, Nurzak, and Fabia Sheen on a mission to rescue Lena, Jesse, and Zenet from stasis tubes. Discovering their brainwashing, he guided Fabia and Ren to Nurzak’s former lair to strategize. Later, he showed Shun Kazami and Marucho Marukura the hideout, aiding in formulating an attack plan before separating to search for Nurzak. He located Nurzak during the confrontation with Kazarina, assisting Fabia by neutralizing Impalatons during their duel.

In the final conflict against Barodius, Mason reunited with his freed teammates. They collectively battled Impalatons but were defeated by Phantom Dharak. Healed by Linehalt’s power, he witnessed Dan Kuso’s victory before returning to Gundalia with other Gundalians. His sole later appearance showed him defending Gundalia alongside Avior and Jesse Glenn against Chaos Bakugan.

Notable traits include his tendency to "spazz out" during setbacks, often blaming Avior, and his surprise at Kazarina's demise. He occasionally displayed admiration for Fabia Sheen’s battling prowess, prompting Avior to chide him for flirting. His human form appears less bulky than his true Gundalian form. Mason is distinguished as the only core Gundalian Agent to evade direct punishment from the Twelve Orders for failures. Despite defecting to Neathia, he continued using Gundalian battle cards, unlike Ren who became an official Castle Knight.
