Description
Jane Royal, occasionally adapted as Jane Flower, is one of a set of triplets with sisters Catherine and Dominique Royal. A bounty hunter in deep space, Jane initially disbelieves a man claiming to be the legendary space pirate Cobra, convinced the real Cobra died years before. Her skepticism shatters when she witnesses his cybernetic Psychogun in action against Pirate Guild assassins.

Jane recruits Cobra for a critical mission: rescuing her sister Catherine, imprisoned on the planet Sido by the Pirate Guild. During this rescue, Jane is killed by Catherine, who is mentally dominated by the Guild leader, Crystal Bowie. Jane's death triggers an innate psychic connection among the triplets, transferring her romantic feelings for Cobra to her surviving sister, Dominique.

As the last survivors of the Miras Star People, the Royal sisters possess the power to control Myrus, an artificial planet capable of annihilating galaxies. Jane's death and transferred love become catalysts, influencing Dominique's actions and ultimately Catherine's final decision to destroy Myrus. Catherine sacrifices herself to prevent the Pirate Guild from wielding the planet-weapon, joining Jane and Dominique in death.

Jane has light blue hair. Her personality blends the assertiveness of a bounty hunter with a capacity for deep emotional connection, evident in her quickly formed bond with Cobra. This connection underscores the narrative theme of love transcending physical existence. The Royal sisters' names draw inspiration from actresses Catherine Deneuve, Dominique Sanda, and Jane Fonda, reflecting the series' pulp science fiction roots.
