Description
Kei, originally designated Ka-3, is an android engineered by a prehistoric civilization preceding the main series timeline. As an earlier, less sophisticated model than counterparts like Zero, she features human-like skin and flesh with distinctive green feather-like antennae floating behind her head. These antennae serve as versatile tools for technological interfacing, enabling access to classified files, bypassing electronic locks, and interacting with computer systems.

Commanding the ancient spaceship Agga Ruter, Kei executes a secret mission for an unidentified owner, bound by privacy protocols preventing disclosure of mission specifics except to this owner. During her voyage, she discovered the orphaned infant Taiyo adrift in an escape pod after space pirate Shiunk destroyed his parents' vessel. Kei adopted and raised Taiyo aboard the Agga Ruter, providing comprehensive education that included unconventional instruction on pleasuring women and cultivating fulfilling relationships to prepare him for adult interactions upon maturity. Her mentorship blended practical intimacy guidance with broader life principles.

Kei exhibits adaptive capabilities exceeding standard android functions, replicating the appearance and voice of bound pirate Martha Igrie after physical intimacy to deceive subordinates, though utilizing this ability induces significant distress. She remains vulnerable to deactivation via paper seals, a weakness exploited during Shiunk's attempted kidnapping.

Her core mission focuses on retrieving the Virginia gem, a power reactor essential for Agga Ruter's operations, aligning with her owner's directives and propelling the ship's journey. Throughout this quest, Kei encouraged Taiyo to expand social connections by forming bonds with encountered individuals, including former adversaries like pirate Jannis.

Her existence predates the primary universe events by centuries. Interactions with factions such as the Shank Pirates—ancestors of later characters—contributed to their decline before pirate groups consolidated under the Daruma Guild.
