Description
Lana, a young girl from the pastoral community of High Harbor—rebuilt in harmony with nature after a cataclysmic global war—is the granddaughter of Dr. Lao, a scientist whose groundbreaking solar power research nearly became a weaponized tool for Industria. Her childhood centers on her bond with her grandfather, who fled the militaristic nation to safeguard his work. This connection awakens her telepathic ability to communicate with Dr. Lao and a tern companion, Tikki, alongside an empathic awareness of others, including Conan.

When Industria’s forces capture her grandfather, Lana escapes but is stranded on Remnant Island, becoming the first outsider to cross paths with Conan. Her arrival reignites Industria’s pursuit, as their commander, Lepka, plots to exploit her link to Dr. Lao and harness orbital solar energy for Gigant, a dormant superweapon. Defying coercion, Lana channels her resolve and loyalty to her grandfather’s pacifist ideals to resist Industria, aiding allies in exposing Lepka’s tyranny and thwarting Gigant’s activation.

Her bond with Conan evolves from cautious curiosity into a steadfast partnership fueled by mutual trust and a shared mission to protect High Harbor. United, they challenge Industria’s oppression, collaborating with former enforcer Monsley during a climactic clash to evacuate civilians and sabotage Gigant. Dr. Lao’s death in the struggle hardens Lana’s resolve to forge a society rejecting technological exploitation, positioning her as a bridge between humanity’s fractured past and a hopeful future.

In *Kyodaiki Gigant no Fukkatsu*, Lana uncovers Lepka’s resurgence and Gigant’s revival, fleeing Industria with Monsley to alert Conan and rally resistance. Once pursued for her lineage, she emerges as a decisive leader mobilizing opposition against Industria’s forces, championing environmental stewardship and collective resilience to shape a just post-apocalyptic world.
