Description
Momose Sunohara, nicknamed Momo, forms one half of the idol duo Re:vale with partner Yuki. As the designated "boke" (comedic fool) in their married-couple-style act, he delivers energetic, purposefully foolish banter onstage. Offstage, Momo exhibits a layered personality: outwardly carefree and teasing toward junior idols, he radiates an innate ability to uplift others. This cheerful facade masks sharp observational skills, intelligence, and maturity, driving him to prioritize others' well-being—especially Yuki and juniors—often neglecting his own needs.
A pivotal Re:vale concert altered Momo’s trajectory. Witnessing a falling stage light nearly strike Yuki—averted when Yuki’s original partner shoved him aside but suffered severe facial injuries—Momo, then mired in resentment over abandoned dreams, found solace in the duo’s music. Post-accident, producer Kujo offered Yuki specialized treatment for his partner in exchange for signing to his agency. Yuki agreed, but his partner vanished, leaving only a note urging Yuki to continue singing. Crushed, Yuki planned to quit music.
Learning this, Momo pursued Yuki daily for a month. During an emotional confrontation, he tearfully begged Yuki not to stop, proposing a five-year pact: Momo would serve as temporary partner until their fifth anniversary or Yuki’s original partner returned. This agreement birthed the current Re:vale. Nearing their fifth anniversary, Momo grew anxious upon discovering Yuki still searched for his former partner, misinterpreting it as proof he was merely a placeholder. This doubt, compounded by anti-Re:vale graffiti invoking "Zero," culminated in Momo abruptly losing his singing voice during rehearsal.
Encouraged by Riku Nanase (IDOLiSH7) and Gaku Yaotome (TRIGGER), Momo confessed his fears and the pact to Yuki. Yuki clarified his search aimed to invite his former partner as a guest, affirming Momo as irreplaceable. Despite reconciliation, Momo’s voice remained absent. Gaku Yaotome theorized potential sabotage via drugging.
Momo shares profound bonds: he affectionately calls Yuki "Yuki-san" or "Darling," while Yuki uses "Momo" or "Honey." He mentors juniors like IDOLiSH7 and TRIGGER, joining Mitsuki Izumi for comedy shows and Mitsuki with Nagi Rokuya for nail art. His perceptiveness surfaces in nicknames, dubbing Tsumugi Takanashi "Manekko-chan" (blending "Manager" and "Kid").
Personally, Momo favors kaomoji in texts, rises early, and enjoys diverse music—recently Japanese emo rock. He values laughter in relationships and seeks a joyful partner. His ideal date involves outdoor activities but adapts to his partner’s tastes. A former high-school soccer player, he reached nationals before an injury barred him from the finals.
