Description
Ace is a Carnotaurus serving as the primary dinosaur partner to Rex Owen of the D-Team. Dr. Owen discovered Ace's dinosaur card at an Alberta, Canada dig site alongside the card for Paris, Zoe Drake's Parasaurolophus. Ace was first summoned in Giza, Egypt, to assist Max Taylor in a confrontation. The name "Ace" signifies both "number one" and Rex's preference for Carnotaurus as his favorite dinosaur species, marking Ace as Rex's first dinosaur.
Ace displays a fiercely loyal and determined personality, exhibiting strong protective instincts toward Rex and the D-Team. He is highly competitive in battle, utilizing swift, strategic maneuvers. A defining trait is his intense aquaphobia; he shows significant discomfort around large bodies of water and avoids aquatic environments unless critically necessary. Functioning as a "Fragile Speedster" in combat, Ace relies on exceptional agility and rapid strikes. This contrasts with Chomp's physical strength and Paris's support techniques, positioning Ace as the "Thief" within the team's Combat, Magic, Trickery Trio structure.
As a Wind-attribute dinosaur, Ace specializes in wind-based attacks. His standard Move Cards include Cyclone (tornado-enhanced ramming), Ninja Attack (duplicate-creating disorientation), and Mayfly (high-speed near-invisible strikes). In his armored DinoTector form, granted by Dr. Z during conflicts with the Spectral Space Pirates, Ace gains advanced techniques: Ultimate Wind (aura-boosted charge), Biting Wind (razor-sharp wind blades), and Hurricane Beat (tornado-assisted aerial kicks).
