Description
Kinako, a male multicolored cat, resides at the Japanese-style tea house Rokuhōdō after being taken in as a stray by the manager. He maintains a consistently calm and quiet disposition, often seen sunbathing in front of the tea house during daylight hours. His presence is cherished by both the tea house's four primary staff members and its customers. Within Rokuhōdō, Kinako functions as an emotional anchor and comforting presence, reinforcing the tranquil atmosphere without engaging in the problem-solving activities of the human characters. His role remains solely that of a background character symbolizing warmth and relaxation throughout the narrative, with no substantial character development, backstory expansion, or narrative changes occurring across different adaptations. Kinako's primary function centers on contributing to the soothing ambiance of Rokuhōdō.
