Fuko Ibuki originates from the visual novel and anime series *Clannad*, later appearing in the crossover *Kaginado*. A car accident shortly after entering high school left her comatose for years. During this coma, a spirit version of Fuko emerged at Hikarizaka Private High School, independently carving wooden starfish to distribute as invitations to her sister Kouko Ibuki's wedding. As her physical condition worsened, this spirit form gradually faded from others' memories. Physically, Fuko is short (150 cm) with a childlike build. She has greenish-gray-brown hair tied in a low ponytail by a periwinkle ribbon and droopy amber eyes. She typically wears her school uniform: a sailor collar, pleated skirt, loafers, and pantyhose. Her personality is eccentric and childlike, marked by an obsessive fascination with starfish that often sends her into oblivious daydreams. She refers to herself in the third person and displays stubborn determination, especially concerning her sister's wedding. Her interactions feature blunt speech, frequently calling Tomoya Okazaki "horrible," though she harbors an underlying fondness for him and Nagisa Furukawa. Fuko's primary story arc involves recruiting Tomoya and Nagisa to help distribute her hand-carved starfish invitations. Her spirit weakens as her physical state deteriorates, causing people to forget her. Despite this, the wedding proceeds. After expressing gratitude to Tomoya and Nagisa, her spirit vanishes post-ceremony. Kouko and her husband Yusuke Yoshino then visit the comatose Fuko in the hospital to thank her. Fuko eventually awakens during *Clannad: After Story*. Her prolonged coma created a seven-year gap in her maturation, leaving her personality unchanged from age fifteen despite her chronological age. She develops an intense attachment to Ushio Okazaki, Tomoya and Nagisa's daughter, often attempting to "claim" her from Tomoya, leading to comedic conflicts. She maintains regular contact with the Okazaki family, visiting to play with Ushio and sometimes escorting her during evening outings. Her relationships persist: playful antagonism with Tomoya and familial bonds with Kouko. In the *Kaginado* crossover, Fuko appears alongside characters from various Key franchises. Her portrayal retains her established traits, including her starfish obsession and interactions with characters like Ushio and Tomoya, consistent with the series' comedic approach to cross-franchise character interactions.
