Will, an orphan raised in the culturally renowned town of Little Monica, returns as a young adult after years abroad. He aims to contribute to his hometown's artistic legacy and reconnect with his childhood friend, Celia. His homecoming reveals a stark reality: under Kajo's control, Little Monica has devolved into a center of debauchery and hedonism.

During his journey back, he meets Meow, a performer traveling to the town. Mistaking her workplace for a cultural venue, he attends her show and is unexpectedly pulled onstage for a public sexual encounter, confronting him directly with the town's corruption. Seeking refuge, Will reunites with Celia and her sisters, Tina and Mei, at their residence. They explain Kajo's oppressive rule, including the suppression of music and art. Will stays with them, reaffirming his roots.

Kajo invades their home, demanding the sisters undress. Will intervenes physically but is swiftly overpowered by Kajo's henchmen. The confrontation halts when a floating puff-ball creature living with the sisters plays its violin, forcing Kajo's retreat due to sudden illness. This encounter highlights Will's initial helplessness against Kajo's power but also reveals an unexpected ally.

Will's role deepens upon learning of a prophecy: the spirit of Little Monica's founder is hidden within someone, sought by Kajo to solidify his control. Supported by Celia, her sisters, and Meow, Will becomes central to opposing Kajo and restoring the town's original cultural values. He must navigate the pervasive temptations of the degraded environment while working towards its renewal.
