Movie
Description
Aphrodite rules as the Queen of Major Land, a realm centered on music and harmony. Her crucial task is hosting the annual Melody of Happiness concert, an event preserving peace across worlds by preventing the Legendary Score's notes from scattering. During one concert, her husband Mephisto—the former King of Major Land—disrupts proceedings to forge a Melody of Sorrow. To counter this, Aphrodite scatters the notes to Earth, sending the fairy Hummy and the Fairy Tones to recover them, relying on the legend of Pretty Cure to restore balance.
Aphrodite and Mephisto share a daughter, Ako Shirabe, later revealed as Cure Muse. Their family fractured earlier when Mephisto succumbed to the antagonist Noise's influence, aligning with Minor Land. Aphrodite remained governing Major Land with compassion, concealing Ako's identity as a Pretty Cure for her safety. When the brainwashed, Noise-empowered Mephisto attacks the Pretty Cures, Aphrodite intervenes directly, confronting him in the human world and expressing anguish over their conflict. Ako's intervention then breaks Noise's control, restoring Mephisto and reuniting the family.
In the movie *Torimodose! Kokoro ga Tsunagu Kiseki no Melody!*, Major Land faces a new threat from Howling, a servant of Noise. To protect her subjects, Aphrodite absorbs Howling into her own body. This sacrifice backfires as Howling possesses her, using her authority to erase all music from Major Land and petrify its people. False rumors accuse Aphrodite of betrayal, straining her relationship with Ako, who initially defends her mother's innocence.
While possessed, Aphrodite commands the Trio de Major to steal the Pretty Cures' essential Healing Chest. As Howling's control strengthens, she traps Ako in dark energy. Aphrodite's spirit briefly breaks through to implore Mephisto to destroy Howling, even at the cost of her own life, to save Major Land. Mephisto instead severs the dark roots binding her, freeing her physical form and expelling Howling without harm. In the final battle, Aphrodite and Mephisto lend their emotional energy to amplify the Pretty Cures' power, enabling Howling's defeat.
After the conflict, Aphrodite supports Ako's wish to stay in Kanon Town with the other Pretty Cures, prioritizing her daughter's happiness and growth. Later, she comforts a tearful Mephisto as he accepts Ako's absence, reaffirming their family bond.
Aphrodite wields abilities tied to Major Land's magic, including granting transformation power to the Pretty Cures. She can generate protective force fields by synchronizing with the realm's Harp Tower. Her leadership emphasizes trust and maternal care, demonstrated by her unwavering faith in Hummy and her forgiveness towards Siren after an initial betrayal.
