Description
Thors Snorresson rose to prominence as a Jomsviking commander, feared as the "Troll of Jom" for his combat mastery. By age 25, sheer strength and skill earned him captaincy, highlighted by his singular feat: defeating the armed Thorkell the Tall while unarmed. Years of warfare later, disillusioned by violence—especially after his daughter’s birth—Thors faked his death to abandon the Jomsvikings. He resettled in Iceland with his wife Helga, daughter of Jomsviking chief Sigvaldi, and their children Thorfinn and Ylva.

Standing 180 cm tall with long dark hair tied back, Thors embraced a humble farmer’s life. His demeanor shifted from ruthless warrior to gentle but resolute protector, cherishing family and community above all. He openly scorned killing, declaring "a true warrior needs no sword," and championed non-violent solutions. When Jomsviking emissary Floki threatened his village, Thors reluctantly agreed to rejoin the war to shield his neighbors, though visibly anguished by the prospect.

Despite retirement, Thors’ combat prowess remained unmatched. A master swordsman and hand-to-hand fighter, he disabled multiple armed foes without fatalities—shattering bones but sparing lives during a clash with Askeladd’s crew. His strength, strategy, and speed overwhelmed elite warriors like Bjorn and Askeladd, whom he spared mid-duel despite mortal threats.

Thors’ pacifism defined his end. Askeladd exploited his love for Thorfinn by taking the boy hostage, prompting Thors to surrender unresistingly. He fell to a volley of Askeladd’s arrows, witnessed by his son. This death and Thors’ teachings profoundly molded Thorfinn’s pursuit of peace in Vinland.

Loosely inspired by the historical Thord Snorresson ("Horsehead"), this fictional iteration incorporates creative liberties like Jomsviking ties and marriage to Helga. Thors’ legacy endures through series flashbacks and visions, embodying redemption from violence.
