Description
Sora, originally the legendary grimoire Astil Manuscript possessing immense magical power, was first contracted to Hijiri Kasuga. Hijiri bestowed the name "Sora," meaning "sky" in Japanese. Her true form is a small, gray, ornate book bound in chains, but she primarily interacts through a human form: a petite young woman standing 150 cm tall, with long gray-white hair and light green eyes. Her typical attire includes a black strapless camisole with a choker, a red mini-skirt, black stockings, arm sleeves, brown loafers, and often a large black bow on her head.

Sora exhibits a proud, cheerful, and mischievous personality. She is straightforward, openly expressive, and delights in teasing others, especially her masters. Despite audacious and sometimes reckless behavior—such as making suggestive comments or acting risqué—she demonstrates deep loyalty, reliability, and protectiveness. Confident in her abilities to the point of proclaiming herself a "genius," she nonetheless admits to not always understanding her own processes. She maintains composure in most situations, though genuine threats trigger a serious and determined demeanor.

Her history is intrinsically linked to Hijiri Kasuga, who possessed her since birth. Sora aided Hijiri in repelling demons drawn to Arata Kasuga, occasionally impersonating Hijiri using her polymorphism. During the "Black Sun" incident, they investigated mysterious disappearances caused by the "Breakdown Phenomenon," connected to Arata's awakening Demon Lord magic. To save Arata from the catastrophe, Hijiri transferred Sora's contract to him as her final act before vanishing. Sora honored this command, forging a new bond with Arata and employing her "World Reconstruction" ability to craft an alternate dimension fulfilling his wish for normalcy.

As a grimoire, Sora wields vast magical capabilities:
- **World Reconstruction**: Creates and controls entire dimensional worlds, restoring cities or reviving the dead as illusions.
- **Polymorphism**: Transforms between grimoire and human forms or projects the appearance of living individuals.
- **Magic Replication**: Analyzes and modifies others' magic for her master's use via a three-step process (Concept, Understanding, Reasoning).
- **Combat & Support**: Specializes in offensive magic like "Scarlet Geburah" (generating destructive waves) alongside analytical/sealing abilities. She communicates telepathically, detects magical activity, and can seal entities such as Lieselotte's Magic King Element.
- **Autonomy**: Operates independently, unlike typical grimoires, either supplying magic to her master or acting directly.

After Arata sacrificed his Demon Lord Factor and magic, Sora lost her combat utility beyond materializing her human form. Despite this, her devotion to him as master remains unwavering. Her abilities proved vital in pivotal battles against threats like the Breakdown Phenomenon and the Demon Lord Abyss Trinity.

Sora is essentially immortal as a non-biological entity. She can manifest her human and grimoire forms simultaneously and has shown vulnerability, such as embarrassment when stripped of magic and clothing during confrontations. Her role evolved from Hijiri's protector to Arata's steadfast ally, highlighting her adaptability and unwavering loyalty across contract transitions.
