TV-Series
Description
Luna is a female Netherland Dwarf Jewelpet with pink fur, yellow inner ears and chest fluff, and jewel eyes crafted from blue moonstones. She typically wears a blue bow on her head and a white pearl necklace featuring a blue crescent moon-shaped moonstone pendant. Later appearances consistently add hot pink, square-shaped glasses to her design.

She debuted in the original Jewelpet series as the partner of human Hanako Kabeno. Awakened from her Jewel Charm form, Luna used her magic to create a dress that temporarily enhanced Hanako's appearance; this spell later reversed publicly during a fashion show. Luna subsequently worked as a waitress at the Strawberry Café alongside fellow Jewelpets Milky and Peridot. Her magic, categorized as "Charm Improvement," specializes in enhancing human appeal, particularly femininity and addressing women-specific issues.

In *Jewelpet Twinkle☆*, Luna partnered with Halite alongside Milky, presenting informational segments at episode ends. During *Jewelpet Sunshine*, she became an honor student in the Rose class, often studying with Diana and Milky. Luna participated in Jewelina's trials, demonstrating academic superiority over Labra but voluntarily relinquished a position to him after he rescued her from a trapped state in a Jewelina Mirror.

Her role expanded in *Jewelpet Kira☆Deco!*, where the cheetah Jewelpet Rald discovered her as a tiny pink rabbit and adopted her as his daughter. Referred to as "Princess Kaguya Luna" and linked to a Deco Stone, she lived briefly with Rald before returning to her true home on the moon. This storyline incorporated elements from *The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter*.

In *Jewelpet Happiness*, Luna served as a mail carrier for Jewel Land's post office, forming a Magic Gem partnership with human Nobara Kitajima. She made occasional cameo appearances in *Lady Jewelpet*. For *Jewelpet Magical Change*, Luna became one of the four primary Jewelpet partners of human Airi Kirara, alongside Ruby, Labra, and Larimar. Here, she exhibited a more studious and intellectual personality, frequently reading encyclopedias and serving as the group's knowledge source. She developed a romantic interest in Airi's older brother, Sakutarō, and received a gift from him before returning to Jewel Land.

Across the franchise, Luna's personality evolved from initially free-spirited and somewhat self-centered to increasingly wise, clever, and academically inclined. She frequently ends her phrases with "dana." Her character design and narrative roles consistently reflect her moonstone jewel motif and associations with lunar symbolism, nocturnal preferences, and charm-enhancing magic.
