Description
Raika Koshiba is a competitive cardfighter who first appears in the will+Dress portion of the Cardfight!! Vanguard anime as the student council president of the high school attended by Yu-yu Kondo, one of the series' central characters. Before the events of the series, he won the Under-18 Vanguard tournament, establishing himself as a champion-level player at a young age. He is a member of the corporate youth team Tirnanog Youth, and by the time of the Divinez Deluxe-hen arc he has graduated from high school and become part of the professional team Tirnanog.
Raika is calm, composed, and highly rational. He approaches cardfighting as a serious pursuit of results, and he dismisses the idea of enjoying a fight that ends in defeat as mere playing around. His methodical nature shows in his preparation: he constantly researches before his matches, studying opponents and refining his strategy. He is also disciplined, never ceasing to put in the effort required to win, and this dedication carries into his professional career.
