Description
Seraphim, known as Sera, is a vampire ninja forged by her village's century-long conflict, which shaped her initially cold and abrasive demeanor. She possesses long black hair, typically secured in a high ponytail with loose strands framing her face, striking green eyes, and a figure measuring 100-62-98 cm. Standing 173 cm tall, she often wears sleeveless tops with thin straps that emphasize her bust.

As a vampire, Sera requires periodic blood consumption. She can anesthetize individuals via a kiss to numb neck bites, adhering strictly to her faction's rule that limits this practice to females, as kissing a male signifies marriage. Her combat abilities include teleportation (often accompanied by rustling leaves), forming bat wings for flight, generating red energy blasts, and wielding a katana composed of leaves using the Tsubamegaeshi Sword Style (Swallow Return Strike). She is also proficient in ninjutsu, employing techniques like substitution logs. After consuming Eucliwood Hellscythe's blood, she gains the power to destroy Megalo spirits by playing the violin.

Sera initially arrives at Ayumu Aikawa's residence seeking to serve Eucliwood Hellscythe. Rejected, she instead becomes Ayumu's nominal servant while openly disparaging him with insults like "piece of shit" or "disgusting," citing his zombie nature and perceived perversions. This hostility stems from her war-torn past, which she acknowledges made her "less than friendly." Her primary mission involves assassinating Eucliwood for attracting Megalo to the human world, but she abandons this after developing genuine care for both Eucliwood and Ayumu. This defiance leads to her execution by Yoruno, though Eucliwood revives her using her blood—an act that later enables Sera to seal the Underworld gates. The assassination mission is subsequently revoked.

Over time, Sera softens considerably. She volunteers to aid Ayumu against threats like Kyoko and the King of the Night, shows concern during his coma, and expresses relief upon returning "home" to his residence. Her tsundere traits become prominent in Season 2, suggesting romantic feelings for Ayumu. While still punishing his accidental indiscretions, she grows more protective than hostile. Outside combat, she practices violin diligently but struggles catastrophically with cooking—her meals induce fainting. She enjoys miso soup and handles household chores like laundry competently.

Sera answers to Sarasvati, her vampire ninja superior who initially ordered Eucliwood's assassination. Despite friction over Sera's defiance and Sarasvati's idol activities (which contradict ninja traditions), they maintain a functional senpai-kōhai relationship. Sera resides with Ayumu, Eucliwood, and Haruna, gradually viewing them as her found family. Though she verbally abuses Ayumu early on, she develops respect for his combat skills and eventual deeper affection.
