Description
Glyph Mercer occupies the critical role of Deputy Commissioner within the Ministry of Fairies, acting as the trusted right-hand man to Vice-Minister Marco Bellwood. He carries the legacy of his ancestor, Jay B. Mercer, author of the Blue Fairy Tome, and maintains a covert membership in the religious cult Eins Order. His official duties center on investigating incidents involving artificial fairies and the dangerous Black Fairy Tomes.

Possessing short blond hair and sharp grey eyes, Glyph initially presents a professional front. He escorts Dorothea agents Free Underbar and Marlya Noel during their Ministry visit. Later, he actively collaborates with Marco Bellwood on a mission to collect Black Fairy Tomes, advancing their shared agenda. During this operation, Glyph murders Prime Minister Golbarn Helwise. He achieves this using the potent fairy weapon Painsealer—a prosthetic arm weapon once wielded by Seven Knights member Ewen Breeze—alongside the fairy Norca.

As the Eins Order accelerates its plans, Glyph participates in the violent assault on Duke Ray Dawn's convoy. He infiltrates a safehouse sheltering Ray and others, launching a lethal attack targeting Veronica Thorn and Marlya Noel. When Ray Dawn intervenes, blocking the strike with his fairy, Glyph captures the unconscious Duke. He transports Ray to the Eins Order's headquarters, where Ray's fairy-possessed organ is forcibly extracted and implanted into a fusion fairy, a crucial step in resurrecting the Divine Beast.

Following the Divine Beast's catastrophic release, Glyph confronts Free Underbar at the cult's base. He reveals Marco Bellwood sacrificed himself to the beast and declares his own ambition to rule the survivors after its rampage. During the fierce battle that erupts, Free and Wolfran Row deduce Glyph's strategy: he aims to become king by deliberately limiting the Divine Beast's path of destruction. Though Glyph manages to wound Wolfran, Free creates a critical opening in their coordinated assault, enabling Wolfran to deliver the fatal blow.
