TV-Series
Description
Robert Chase serves in Dorothea's First Unit, an agency regulating illegal fairy activities. He has dark short hair and typically wears the standard Dorothea uniform, often with glasses.
Before Dorothea, he fought in the War of Unification and worked for the Security Bureau. His post-war transfer to Dorothea fostered lingering distrust among some colleagues, who maintain professional distance by using only his last name. An exception is Marlya Noel, whose use of "Robert" visibly surprises him.
His primary duties focus on interrogation and investigation, employing methodical persistence. He participates in joint interrogations with Free Underbar regarding malfunctioning artificial fairies, though initial efforts prove unsuccessful. During one interrogation, he concludes physical coercion would be ineffective against an uncooperative suspect linked to the Black Fairy Tome.
He maintains Security Bureau contacts for information sharing. Sustained investigation reveals a connection between the artificial fairy malfunctions and a man he previously pursued at the Security Bureau, leading him to suspect Arcame's involvement. He reports these findings directly to Director Nein Auler, receiving authorization to continue the investigation and collaborate with the Security Bureau.
His investigation intensifies upon learning the Security Bureau detained a suspect named Hanns. After visiting Hanns, Robert deduces concealed information. Further scrutiny identifies Eddy as a person of interest with a son, Ted Livingston. Cross-referencing this with Hanns' withheld data, Robert concludes Ted Livingston tampered with artificial fairy models and possesses a device capable of controlling older units. He urgently relays this to Nein Auler, who orders Ted's arrest. Robert then rushes to a public plaza, intervening to prevent Ted from assassinating Prime Minister Golbarn Helwise and ensuring Ted's capture.
His role consistently involves analytical deduction and inter-agency coordination, with no documented involvement in direct combat or fairy summoning.
