Description
Damian Carme, a fairy scholar, collaborates with Veronica Thorn to recover pages of the Black Fairy Tome. Descended from the tome's original author, Crucia Albastora, he changed his surname to hide this lineage.

He initially dispatched Veronica to steal a tome page from an auction, later identifying it as a forgery. When Cain Distarol's residence came under attack, with Free Underbar and Marlya Noel present, Damian rushed to secure the tome, inadvertently revealing its location to Axel Laboo, who stole it. Observing the aftermath from a rooftop with Veronica, Damian remarked on the ease of luring their targets. He expressed surprise when Veronica suggested Marlya might be fairy-possessed.

After the tome's recovery, Damian and Cain refused to disclose its origins to Marlya and Free's questioning. Damian also denied knowing Veronica when Marlya asked. Learning of the Black Fairy Tome Nine's appearance, Damian and Veronica attempted retrieval but were outmatched by Eajey Daven Thor and forced to retreat. Damian subsequently accepted a collaboration offer from "Sweetie" Bitter Sweet to acquire the tome.

The next day, discussing plans with Sweetie, Damian spotted Free and Marlya and approached them for information. As Veronica arrived, pursued by Eajey, Damian called out to her in concern and warned the Dorothea agents about Eajey's Fairy Weapon, prompting Marlya to question his connection to Veronica.

Arrested by Free and Marlya, Damian was taken to Dorothea headquarters where he requested to speak with Nein Auler. He revealed his true identity and objectives to her. Later relocated for safety by Free and Marlya, Damian met with Nein at the new location and disclosed that Marco Bellwood and Glyph Mercer were descendants of the tome's scholars and members of Ein.

Deducing Marco's goal to resurrect the Divine Beast after learning Marco possessed all Black Fairy Tomes, Damian predicted Marco's next step required a fairy-possessed organ. He met Nein to explain the situation, expressed his desire to cooperate with Dorothea to stop Marco, and requested a meeting with Prime Minister Golbarn Helwise. After Nein agreed, they met Golbarn; Damian explained the threat, leading Golbarn to order Dorothea to arrest Marco and his associates.

Three months after the Divine Beast incident, Damian began working at the Ministry of Fairies.

He possesses long brown hair, a short full beard, and blue eyes, typically dressed in brown pants, a white shirt, and a brown long coat. An ordinary person, he has no special abilities beyond his scholarly knowledge.
