Description
Beelzebub, the sixth-born of the seven demon brothers, embodies Gluttony. Originally an angel created alongside his twin Belphegor, he aspired to be a soldier but struggled to control his immense strength. Following Lucifer's counsel to focus on protection, he became a Cherub guarding the Celestial Realm's gates. He battled beside Lucifer during the Great Celestial War but fell to the Devildom after his sister Lilith suffered mortal wounds. The Demon King ranked him sixth based on his power.
He possesses messy orange hair and violet eyes with a pink gradient, standing as the tallest and most muscular brother. He maintains his physique through rigorous exercise: morning jogs, weightlifting, and playing Fangol, a Devildom sport resembling American football. His demon form features black circlet-like horns, insectoid wings symbolizing flies, and distinctive birthmarks on his chest and neck. His attire includes a low-cut black shirt with a cropped punk jacket (demon look), a rumpled RAD uniform, an indigo-and-orange parka (casual attire), and a black tank top with a maroon tattoo (human world look).
Constant hunger defines him; he is rarely seen without food and sometimes eats non-edible items. Food serves as an effective bribe, exemplified when Lucifer promised donuts for capturing Mammon. Yet only 40% of his thoughts center on sustenance; 50% focus on family. He exhibits emotional maturity, prioritizing his siblings' well-being even over meals. He carries guilt for Lilith's death, believing Belphegor resents him for choosing to save Belphegor during the war. His preferences include dogs for their loyalty, pop rock music, Devilcat merchandise, and foods from all realms. He dislikes Mammon's and Solomon's cooking.
Key developments involve him shattering the MC's room in rage after they ate his custard, leading the MC to temporarily stay with him. He forbade them from using Belphegor's bed, stating his twin was "in the human world"—later revealed as a lie. He later assisted the MC in finding Luke via a dollhouse replica of the House of Lamentation, uncovering Lilith's hidden room and confessing his guilt over her death. He formed the third pact with the MC in Lesson 6-10 to repay them for shielding him and Luke from Lucifer, being the sole brother who did not resent the MC's pact-seeking motives. He participated in events like Diavolo's retreat at the Demon Lord's Castle, remaining oblivious to brothers' arguments while praising the food. He also accidentally ate his phone due to a food-themed background, leading to humorous consultations with siblings about safer alternatives.
His relationships highlight loyalty: with Belphegor, he shares a deep bond and joint memories like beach trips and Lilith, describing him as "Light Snowfall Vanilla" ice cream—gentle and comforting. He finds the MC's presence reduces his hunger and vows to protect them, noting they keep their room clean. He compares Lucifer to "Hell Coffee" (bitter yet kind) and Mammon to "Dull Chocolate" (dishonest but helpful).
His abilities include physically subduing multiple brothers and significant athletic prowess, having been a top snowboarder. He later aids the MC's sorcerer trials, such as gathering ingredients to close a dark crevasse in Lesson 79.
