TV-Series
Description
Born into Terra's nobility as the son of a knight commander and noble mother, Kris carried lifelong shame over his father's perceived cowardice. His youth forged a rivalry-friendship with commoner Rudy as both competed to become Terra's guardian and claim the Throne of Light. Representing nobility against Rudy's commoner faction, Kris secured victory through controversial means—corrupt nobles threatened Rudy's orphanage to manipulate the outcome. This incident deepened Kris's contempt for noble corruption while reinforcing his self-confidence. Though opposing affiliations strained their bond, mutual respect endured after Rudy thwarted an assassination attempt orchestrated by noble Jaxon against Kris.

Appointed knight captain, Kris faced tragedy when his subordinates were massacred and he was wrongfully accused. Framed and exiled, he absorbed demonic power under Dellons's manipulation, believing Rudy responsible. Transformed into the Ruler of Purgatory, Kris plotted vengeance against Terra and the Seven Knights. Discovering Dellons's true guilt for his knights' deaths and Bane's betrayal, Kris faced near-fatal retaliation until rescued by Rudy and Evan's group. This prompted his alliance with the Seven Knights against Dellons.

Investigating his demonic powers in the Dark Grave, Kris uncovered ancestral ties to the Silversword family—Dellons's historical enemies—intensifying his thirst for vengeance. Amidst conflicts involving Rudy's controversial pact with Dark Knights and Pallanus's attacks, Kris confronted moral ambiguities, questioning righteousness alongside Rudy.

By Season 4, Rudy's departure branded him a traitor. Kris relinquished Purgatory's control to Aquila and secluded himself in a temple to seal his demonic powers. Successful suppression triggered his "true form" awakening, freeing him from demonic influence. Assuming leadership of the Seven Knights, he spearheaded missions including Karin's rescue from Heavenly World Valkyries. During this operation, he suffered severe injuries battling Trude before uniting allies against Celestial Guardians.

Initially, Kris displayed aristocratic arrogance and overconfidence, judging others by skill over status. Dellons's betrayal and Rudy's choices later triggered self-doubt and eroded his prudence. He values trust profoundly, retaining regard for Rudy and knights of light despite their fraught history. He favors black attire, nori, grapes, and oranges, while disliking smoked foods and perceived weakness.

In anime continuity, Kris exists as an original Seven Knights spirit. Bonding with successor Gareth, he bestowed a darkness-imbued sword to combat the resurgent destruction cult Physis.
