Description
Originating from the same impoverished slums as Quade, Scrapes became a foundational member of Team Supreme. He frequently travels and operates alongside fellow member Pach in their shared quest for the Ancient Treasure Z. This mission results in Scrapes' significant absence during the early and middle portions of the series, preventing encounters with teammates Analog and Bastion until episode 31.
Scrapes' most pivotal narrative moments occur later. In episode 37, he arrives with Pach and Tremor to aid the battle against the Four Dark Warriors, shifting the conflict's momentum. During this clash, the antagonist Haxile deploys a modified Dark Blast attack from the Dimepulsar, infused with genetic material from the powerful Zoid Demise. This attack strikes Scrapes, Pach, and Tremor, causing their Zoids to go uncontrollably rogue.
A further critical moment unfolds in episode 44. Scrapes journeys to Master Bug's location, where Malware, an agent of the Death Metal Empire, arrives using Scrapes' own Zoid, Knockz. At this point, Knockz is confirmed irreversibly corrupted by the Empire's influence. Despite rescue attempts, Arashi is compelled to destroy Knockz at Scrapes' explicit request, marking a significant emotional and narrative turning point.
Scrapes is a skilled Zoid pilot, capable of utilizing the Wild Blast ability prior to the series' beginning. His physical appearance features numerous scars attributed to past battles. His Japanese name, "Avocado," aligns with the series' food-themed naming pattern, though his English name was omitted during initial episode credits.
