OVA
Description
Mari features solely within the "Harem Bomber" OVA storyline, part of the Violence Jack anime adaptations. Before the Great Kanto Hellquake devastated the region, she was engaged to Kenichi, called Ken. After the apocalyptic disaster, Mari journeyed between surviving settlements in a persistent search for her missing fiancé, deliberately steering clear of notorious zones like "Evil Town."

During her travels, Mari and her companion Yumi were captured by a group under Rose and transported toward a slave camp specializing in forced sexual servitude. Violence Jack intervened, crashing their transport and enabling a temporary escape. While hiding in ruins, Yumi injured her leg; Mari tore her own clothing to fashion a bandage, confiding her quest to find Kenichi.

Recaptured by Rose's forces, Mari and Yumi were taken to the slave camp. Restrained, Mari was forced to watch Rose assault Yumi. Before suffering the same fate, Kenichi discovered her imprisonment. He eliminated her guards and confronted Rose to free her. Rose challenged Kenichi to kill Violence Jack in exchange for safety, unsettling Mari with Kenichi's newfound readiness for lethal violence.

A large-scale conflict and fire erupted at the slave camp complex. Amidst the chaos, a dying Yumi bitterly resented Mari's enduring bond with Kenichi, contrasting her own loss. Mari forgave Yumi before her death. Mari, Kenichi, and Violence Jack retreated to the rooftop to escape the flames. As Jack battled Harlem Bomber, Mari urged Kenichi to assist. When Kenichi hesitated, Mari threw Jack a rope, helping him regain footing. Jack used the rope to hurl a helicopter at Harlem Bomber, fatally injuring Kenichi in the process.

With Kenichi and Yumi dead, Mari stood alone in the ruins. A golden bird appeared, flying towards the rising sun. Mari followed it into the wasteland, leaving her to wander alone in the post-apocalyptic landscape. Her story concludes here within the OVA.
