Description
Rigurd originated as the elderly chief of a goblin village in the Jura Forest. His tribe thrived under the protective aura of the sealed Storm Dragon Veldora, whom they worshipped as a deity. Frail with age, he depended on a walking stick, spoke with a stutter, and battled to keep his eyes open. His eldest son Rigur—named by the manipulative Gelmud—perished defending the village from a direwolf attack after Veldora’s disappearance exposed them to danger. During this peril, Rigurd encountered Rimuru Tempest, who rescued the village.
Rimuru bestowed a name upon Rigurd, evolving him and the entire tribe into hobgoblins through the "Rigurd Shock." This metamorphosis reshaped his physique: he gained a muscular body towering over 190 cm, a deep voice, and revitalized energy, eliminating his need for the walking stick. His lifespan extended, and he voiced gratitude for his renewed appearance.
Initially appointed Goblin Lord to govern nearby goblin villages, Rigurd advanced to Goblin King as more tribes united under Rimuru’s nation. He also commanded the goblin riders and served as Head of Security before ascending to Prime Minister of the Jura-Tempest Federation. In this capacity, he oversees internal affairs, civil administration, citizenship, and supervision, holding supreme authority beneath Rimuru.
