Description
Rigurd began as chief of a goblin village in the Great Forest of Jura. His people thrived under the protective aura of the sealed Storm Dragon Veldora, whom they revered. During this era, his eldest son remained nameless until Gelmud named him "Rigur." This son perished defending the village from direwolves, coinciding with Veldora’s aura vanishing. Facing annihilation, the goblins sensed Rimuru’s power and begged for aid. Rimuru defeated the direwolf leader, taming the pack.

Afterward, Rimuru bestowed names upon Rigurd and the goblins. This naming evolved Rigurd from a frail, elderly goblin reliant on a walking stick into a powerful hobgoblin. He gained height rivaling a large human, a muscular physique, and the ability to fully open his eyes without strain, discarding his cane. Rigurd expressed deep gratitude for his renewed body, frequently flexing his muscles. This evolution also extended his lifespan.

Under Rimuru’s rule, Rigurd’s responsibilities grew. He was first appointed Goblin King, overseeing nearby villages and serving as captain of the direwolf-mounted goblin riders. Later, he became Head of Security, safeguarding the nation. When the Jura-Tempest Federation formally established, Rigurd ascended to Prime Minister. In this role, he managed most internal civil affairs, citizenship, supervision, and diplomacy, holding the highest authority after Rimuru except in wartime. Though he lamented his busy schedule limiting training time, he possessed combat prowess equal to an A-Rank adventurer—demonstrated by feats like effortlessly hurling a 20-meter Megalodon alongside Geld.

His personality blends stoicism with profound loyalty and occasional emotional outbursts regarding Rimuru, easily becoming overexcited during interactions. He displays fierce paternal pride, especially toward his second son Rigur, often moved to tears by his achievements—sometimes to others’ exasperation. Rigurd possesses innate charisma and diplomatic skill, encouraged by Rimuru, making him effective in governance and external relations. He enjoys organizing festivals and communal feasts and maintains a sense of humor while understanding serious situations.
