Description
Shiki Tademaru is a 14-year-old half-human, half-arachne hybrid. He has light purple hair and wears a purple jacket with a black web motif, a gray t-shirt, white pants, and dark shoes. Initially appearing cold and superior, he uses his age to assert authority over peers like Kabane Kusaka and dismisses friendships due to their hybrid status, masking deep-seated insecurity and loneliness rooted in childhood trauma.
His past in Kinshi-Go, Gunma Prefecture involves living with his mother until his uncle, Akio Tademaru, became his guardian. Shiki witnessed kemono subjecting his mother to forced experiments under Akio's direction. After Akio physically injured him, gaslighting suppressed his memory of the event. These experiments resulted in his younger half-sister, Aya. Shiki long believed his mother dead, but upon joining Inugami's detective agency, he discovered she was alive yet comatose due to Akio's actions.
