Description
Ais Wallenstein stands as a prominent first-class adventurer within Orario's Loki Familia, renowned among the strongest warriors for her exceptional combat prowess. Her appearance features long golden-blonde hair, gold eyes, and a slender build often compared to her mother. She typically dons white-and-black battle cloth with black arm covers and long blue boots, accessorized with protective armor: head guard, breastplate, arm guards, hip guards, and knee guards. Outside the Dungeon, she favors a white one-piece dress edged in gold.

Her childhood was shattered when the One Eyed Black Dragon killed her parents—Albert Waldstein and the spirit Aria—at age seven, forging an unyielding quest for vengeance and deep-seated hatred of monsters. Joining the Loki Familia afterward, she achieved Level 2 in a record-breaking year (later surpassed by Bell Cranel) and climbed to Level 4 at a pace of roughly one to one-and-a-half years per level. Early emotionless detachment and fragile looks earned her the moniker "Doll Princess."

Quiet and reserved, Ais struggles to voice her emotions, often seeming mysterious or aloof despite a mental age younger than her physical years. Beneath this exterior lies fierce determination to grow stronger and slay the One Eyed Black Dragon—a drive that once manifested in self-destructive aggression, reckless disregard for her safety, and obsessive training. Familia executives tempered these tendencies: Finn emphasized mental fortitude and technique, Riveria enforced discipline (including water-based punishment that instilled a lasting fear of swimming), and Gareth taught the value of rest.

Her worldview evolved dramatically. Initially, she indiscriminately hunted all monsters as inherently evil, persisting even after encountering sentient Xenos. Witnessing the Xenos Wiene protect Bell Cranel sparked a turning point, later reinforced by training under Ottar. She gradually accepted that monsters could possess human-like emotions and hearts, while humans could embody monstrous traits. She resolved to personally judge whom to deem a monster and oppose.

As a Level 6 adventurer, her physical abilities far exceed lower-level adventurers and ordinary humans. Key skills include: "Avenger" (Rank A), amplifying attack power against monsters—especially dragons—proportionate to hatred, though it suppresses emotions and damages weapons; wind magic "Ariel" (Rank A), activated by chanting "Tempest" to conjure an offensive/defensive barrier boosting agility and attack penetration; and ability "Lux Alis" (Rank D), triggered by "Adeat!" to create wind-resistance-negating raiment, manifest light wings for flight, and enhance wind/light elements. Development Abilities augment her further: "Hunter" (Rank B) against known monsters, "Abnormal Resistance" (Rank C), "Swordsman" (Rank A) for sword mastery, and "Spirit Healing" (Rank A) for mental/mana recovery. She wields the durandal-attributed sword Desperate.

Relationships profoundly shape her. Riveria serves as a strict mentor and maternal figure, while Finn and Gareth provide strategic and physical guidance. Her bond with Bell Cranel began when she saved him from a Minotaur, igniting his admiration. Intrigued by his rabbit-like appearance and rapid growth, she volunteered to train him. These sessions revealed a rarely seen softer side—Tiona noted Ais appeared genuinely happy during them. She further demonstrated care by nursing Bell on the 18th Floor, accepting his invitation for her first dance at the Apollo Familia ball, and offering lap pillows. Though internally conflicted and externally inarticulate (e.g., calling Bell merely "a rabbit" to Hestia), her actions consistently reflect growing protectiveness. She guards her past closely, sharing it only with Loki and her Familia's top executives.
