Description
Hitachi Chigusa, a human adventurer of the Takemikazuchi Familia, sports medium-length black hair that typically veils her dark green eyes. She wears bandages around her neck and left upper thigh, a lavender kimono secured by a red waist cloth, and left thigh armor as her only protection. Self-conscious about her physique, she maintains a shy, reserved demeanor and struggles with unfamiliar social encounters. Yet she demonstrates unwavering Familia loyalty, harbors romantic feelings for Ouka Kashima, and shares a close bond with childhood friend Mikoto Yamato. Her intense concentration enhances combat effectiveness. The alias "Twin Wings Girl" references the Chinese Jian bird, symbolizing devoted partnerships that mirror her emotional dedication.
Orphaned in the Far East during youth, she entered Takemikazuchi’s guardianship and joined his Familia alongside fellow orphans Ouka Kashima, Mikoto Yamato, and Haruhime Sanjouno, their shared upbringing forging deep-rooted bonds.
Chigusa mastered multiple martial arts and diverse weapons, excelling particularly in archery—surpassing even Mikoto. Takemikazuchi’s training refined her stealth tactics and infiltration skills, augmented by heightened focus. Falna acquisition and level advancement sharpened her senses. Her technique "Shukuchi Zettou, Copo de Nieve de Tundra" (Snow Shadow) enables high-speed movement for rapid quadruple strikes. The Development Ability Abnormal Resistance nullifies poison and similar effects. Originally Level 1, she ascended to Level 2 after the Ishtar Familia conflict. Post-Xenos arc, she wielded Welf Crozzo’s "Black Rabbit Horse" bow to augment her archery.
During a middle-floor dungeon expedition (Volume 5), severe injuries forced her retreat, prompting Ouka’s Pass Parade. Assuming responsibility, she aided Bell Cranel’s rescue and later apologized. In Volume 12, a Moss Huge variant infected her with parasitic seeds during a faction expedition, nearly killing her until Bell eliminated the monster. She assisted investigations into Ryuu Lion’s wanted status (Volume 13) and fell victim to Freya’s citywide charm (Volume 17), suffering altered memories and distress when confronted by Bell. After Hestia dispelled the enchantment, she aided Bell’s rescue. During the Faction War (Volume 18), she protected alliance commander Liliruca Arde and helped exhaust the opponent Hegni, enabling Ryuu Lion’s victory. Non-canonical "Memoria Freese" portrayals show her coordinating effectively with Freya Familia captain Ottar, including cooperative disguises.
